Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the RyuSim website at ryusim.com (the "Site"), operated by Seiraiyu ("we", "us"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. The Site and Its Content

The Site provides information about, documentation for, and downloads of the RyuSim SystemVerilog simulator (the "Software"). All content on the Site — including text, documentation, graphics, logos, and design — is owned by Seiraiyu or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may view, download, and print Site content for your own reference; you may not republish or redistribute it without our prior written permission, except as permitted by applicable law.

2. Software Downloads

Any software you download from the Site or from our download servers — including via the install.sh installer — is licensed, not sold, and is governed by the RyuSim Software License, not by these Terms. If there is a conflict between these Terms and the Software License with respect to the Software, the Software License controls.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• use the Site in any way that violates applicable law or regulation;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, our download infrastructure, or the systems of any third party;
• interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Site, including by imposing an unreasonable load on our infrastructure;
• scrape or bulk-download Site content in a manner that circumvents robots.txt; or
• misrepresent your affiliation with Seiraiyu or RyuSim.

4. Third-Party Links and Services

The Site links to third-party sites and services, including GitHub repositories for bug reports and community projects. Those sites are governed by their own terms and privacy policies; we are not responsible for their content or practices.

5. Privacy

The Site is a static website. We do not require accounts, and we do not set cookies for tracking or advertising. Please note:

• The Site is hosted on Google Firebase Hosting, and our download servers log standard HTTP request data (such as IP address, user agent, and requested URL) for operational and security purposes.
• Web fonts are served from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the fonts load.
• If you contact us via GitHub, your communication is governed by GitHub's terms and privacy policy.

We do not sell personal data.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR AVAILABILITY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SEIRAIYU WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SITE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.

8. Changes to the Site and These Terms

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time. We may update these Terms from time to time; the "Effective date" above reflects the latest revision. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Seiraiyu is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
